Race Times: Check-in will begin at 8:00 a.m. The Kids’ Run will start at 9:00 a.m. The timed 5K Race will follow at 9:30 a.m (clock stops at 10:15 a.m.).
Registration: Children under five do not need to be registered to ride in a stroller in the 5K race. Online registration will be open through 5 p.m. on April 28, 2016. You can register in person during packet pick-up or on race day up until 9:00a.m. If you have any issues with online registration or would prefer to register by phone, please contact Barbara Herzog at 804-501-1671.
The Course: The race will start and end on the historic campus of St. Joseph’s Villa. This is a flat and fast course with our previous top finisher clocking 14:55.
Prizes: Prizes will be awarded in age groups based on race results in the 5K and places in the Kids' Run. Prizes also will be awarded to those wearing the most heroic costumes.
Packet Pick-up: To save time on race day, you can pick up your packet on Friday, April 29, 2016 from noon-2 p.m. or 4-6 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Villa. Interested runners can also preregister or preview the course at that time. If you can't make it Friday, please pick up your packet by 8:30am on Saturday.
Parking: Parking will be available on the grounds of St. Joseph’s Villa. PLEASE USE THE ENTRANCE AT THE TRAFFIC LIGHT ON BROOK ROAD. You will see Superhero Run banners at the entrance. The other entrances will be closed for the race.
Weather: The event will go on rain or shine. If severe weather arises, we might have to cancel the event. A final decision will be made on the day of the race.
Your Safety: Water stations and a medical team will be available. The following will not be allowed: bikes, skateboards, roller blades, dogs, headsets, and unregistered runners.
Timing: Timing for the 5K Race will be provided by Commonwealth Timing.
